Information Note Regarding the Protection and Processing of Personal Data

This text herewith, has been prepared for the company Bata Metal Tasarım Üretim A.Ş. (referred to as 'B&T Design' henceforward), and with the aim to provide information to the visitors of the B&T Design website at https://www.bt.design (referred to as the 'B&T Design website henceforward) regarding personal data processing and confidentiality policies applied at the said site as well as on the rights of data subjects arising from the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, and in compliance with the procedures and principles, which shall be adhered to as part of the liability to inform with which data controllers or those authorized by the latter has been charged with as per the provisions of Article 10 of the Law No. 6698.

 

Data Controller

 

In view of the nature of such data and transactions, B&T Design and/or respective service providers or the representatives thereof shall be responsible for the safety of data provided and transactions made by the visitors of the website, and also those that have been acquired by them as well as ensuring measures as required are in place.

 

Method of Collection and Transfer of Personal Data, Legal Grounds and Objectives

 

In Law No. 6698, personal data is described as '[...] any and all data concerning a real person whose identity is known or can be identified.' As required by the Law No. 6698, B&T Design collects personal data automatically or through such non-automated ways as verbally, in writing or electronically, which is then processed within the scope of Articles 5 and 6 of the said Law No. 6698 in ways such as recording, storage, safeguarding, modification, rearrangement, exposition, transfer, acquisition, making available, classification or preventing the use of, etc.

 

 

Personal Data acquired in ways specified above can be processed within the scope of principles set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law No. 6698, for such purposes as customer satisfaction, marketing processes, corporate communication, market research activities, procedures regarding the selling of products and/or services, after-sales support services aimed at implementing and improving services provided by B&T Design as well as corporate strategies and also with the aim to provide such information upon the request of bodies authorized thereto.

 

Within the framework the conditions and purposes of processing of personal data as specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law No. 6698 personal data collected can be processed domestically or abroad by B&T Design dealers, partners, suppliers, shareholders, affiliates for legally authorized government bodies and private persons with the aim to achieve results specified above.

 

Rights of Personal Data Subjects as per the Law on the Protection of Personal Data

 

Personal data subjects, in compliance with Article 11 of the Law No. 6698, shall have the right to apply to Bata Metal Tasarım Üretim A.Ş. so as to;

1. Learn weather or not their personal data has been processed,
2. In cases their personal data has been processed, to requet information thereupon,
3. Learn the purpose of processing of their personal data and whether or not such data has been used in line with the purpose of collection thereof,
4. To know third person recipients of such personal data in and outside of Turkey,
5. To request that data that is erroneous or that has been wrongly processes be corrected,
6. Request that psuch personal data is deleted or purged within the framework of terms and conditions set forth in Article 7,
7. To request that third person recipients of such data are notified regarding transactions carried out as per paragraphs (d) and (e),
8. Object to any unfavorable outcomes to result from exclusive analysis of processed data on automated systems,
9. To request damages in the event of incurring any harm as a result of illegal processing of personal data.

Person the personal data of whom has been processed can request from B&T Design that his/her rights concerning the exercise of their personal data adhering to the procedures specified in the Circular on the Procedures and Principles Concerning Applications to Data Controller.

 

In compliance with Article 5/2 of the Circular on the Procedures and Principles Concerning Applications to Data Controller,

 

1. Name/Surname and in cases where such application is in writing, signature,
2. Turkish National Identification Number for Turkish citizens, and passport number or identification number for foreigners,
3. Address of the place of settlement or place of work registered for notification purposes
4. Telephone number, e-mail address and fax number registered for notification purposes and
5. The issue of such application must be provided, which is mandatory.

 

In compliance with Article 13 of the Law No. 6698 B&T Design shall satisfy such demands as specified in such application promptly and latest in 30 days depending on the nature of such request, and free of charge. However, in cases where such transaction gives rise to a cost, the fee specified by the Board can be paid. In cases where such application has arose as a result of a mistake by the data contoller, any fees collected shall be returned to the person concerned.

A variety of cookies are used on B&T Design website. Cookies are files that are stored by webpages in the devices or web servers of users through browsers. Cookies are used with the aim to improve customer and user experience on B&T Design webpage. Such aims include due operation and improvement of the B&T Design website, personalized user experience, optimization of such announcement and publicity content as campaigns and corporate news, which shall be relayed to users wither on B&T Design webpage or on third party ad provider webpages.
